Moving Into A Larger Market.

Beverly Hills based I.M. Chait Gallery/Auctioneers wanted to expand into the New York market, where they had no name recognition.

They knew they would be going up against Christie's, Sotheby's, the International Asian Art Fair and countless high-end dealers participating in New York's annual Asia Week collecting event.

Challenge: Establish name recognition and get large numbers of Asian art buyers to visit their auction.

Action: Working with the client's internal press department, we created a schedule of press releases. This helped get media exposure in New York.

Result: The sale topped $1 million. The relationship continued and in year two, the auction house saw a single vase go for $1.2 million.

P.S. Since then we have provided regular press releases, edited a forthcoming book and penned feature articles.
